How to root HTC Explorer?

HTC Explorer is absolutely a beautiful gadget from HTC, with it’s 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 320×480 pixels resolution. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, you know how awesome the apps would be. The phone comes with a 3.15MP rear camera, which can capture candid photos. Yet, it lacks a front-camera for video calling. But this can record videos at 480p. This stylish phone supports all connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G Network and USB 2.0.  Built with a 600MHz Qualcomm processor and 512MB RAM, could be better. HTC Explorer comes with a 90MB internal storage and external memory support upto 32GB.

Rooting HTC Explorer is not at all a tough process. You can simply follow the following steps and get it done.

Remember, if you root your phone, it’ll void your warranty. But, unrooting will however restore it back. And, we are not responsible for any of the damages during the process. This is a tested and trusted method and it should work fine unless you make a mistake.

Prerequisites

  • Make sure that your phone has more than 80% of the remaining battery level. This will ensure that your phone doesn’t get into risk during the process.
  • Download HTC Sync and install it on your computer.
  • Download Unlocked Bootloader from the HTC Website.
  1. Download SuperUser Zip Package
  2. Download Recovery Image

Install Custom Recovery on HTC Explorer

  • After downloading, move all the files to your desktop
  • Extract files from the Recovery Image.
  • Turn OFF your HTC Explorer and reboot it into bootloader mode. You can do this by pressing and hold the Volume Down and Power Button.
  • From the menu on the screen, choose Fastboot.
  • Now, connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable.
  • From the extracted files, run (double-click)  recovery.bat to begin the process.
  • After the custom recovery is installed on your phone, unplug the phone from the computer.
  • You’ve successfully installed custom recovery on your phone. Reboot the phone to complete the process.

Root HTC Explorer

  • Connect your phone again to the computer using the USB cable.
  • From the files you’ve downloaded to your computer, find Superuser Zip and copy the file to your phone’s SD card storage’s root folder.
  • After it is copied, disconnect the phone.
  • Reboot again into bootloader mode, which can be achieved by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power Buttons together.
  • Now, select Recovery.
  • From the menu, choose Install .zip from SD card.
  • Once the installation process is over, reboot your phone.
